Therefore, rather than going to your website, they would go to someone else’s.

I do have a few .info extensions however and as far as a search engine optimization stand point I have found them to rank in the search engines equally as well as a .com website. So, for SEO purposes it doesn’t really seem to matter which extension you purchase. The search engine optimization side relies more on your keywords and links than to the extension you purchase.
